The vision for the preschool is “A preschool that makes it possible to develop a good self-esteem and to see each others ideas as an access”

 The aim of the preschool is to:

Let the children have more self esteem, confidence and be secure through

-Building the child’s self esteem

-Have a “yes”-saying attitude

-Take care of the child’s ideas

-Encourage and allow to try and try again

-Plan-test-implement-reflect

-Give the child tools to go through with her/his idea

Activity 1 Create a common value system- keywords from the curriculum

Teacher’s  activities:

-Discuss matters such as self-esteem, confidence and secure at meetings once a month. The schools steering group is responsible for the matters to discuss.

-One person is responsible for compiling and gives feedback from previous meetings discussion.

-A special outdoor group of personnel are responsible for further activities

Activity 2 Create an inspiring environment 

Teacher’s  activities:

-Participate in study visits at other preschools to get inspired to develop the outdoor environment.

-Use joint premises in school  such as music, art studio and woodwork.

-Use the surrounding around the preschool, for example surrounding yards and parks.

Activity 3  Train the children to make their own choices

Children’s activities:

-Wishful drawings

-Make simple choices

-Two alternatives with photo and you put your photo on the alternative that the children want to.

-Converse with the child why he/she choose the one he/she choose.

Teacher’s  activities:

-Make reflections with the child.

-Reflection among the personnel how the children make their own choices.

- Discuss value system as a base for the choice.

Activity 4   Strengthen the parents

Teacher’s  activities:

-Arrange a joint meeting for the parents where the personnel from all departments talk about enterprise in preschool and then let the parents know exactly what is done at their child’s department.  The steering group is responsible for planning dates etc.

Activity 5  Documentation

Children’s activities:

-          Make the learning processes visible for the children and also for the whole school area.

Teacher’s  activities:

-Reflection between the personnel and children how to work towards the vision.

-At certain meetings show each other what is going on in each department. And also to give scoops and ideas of how to work with enterprise.

-Show what’s going on at  a common bulletin board in the centre of the school.
