3. Project’s curricular links 1. Subject: German Implemented knowledge and skills: students used vocabulary learnt in lessons, ICT tools were used (blogging, Word, Power Point, Skype) |
|
4. Links to real life and the world of work Students had to work together in making invitations and presents and making preparations for the party. Individual work was used in blogging. Students decided which song to sing, how to decorate the classroom and what there has to be on the menu. Projects activities were related and culminated with common party in Slovakia and Estonia. Students’ posts in blog were made under their real names and everyone was responsible for what they published. For communicating with partners German learnt in lessons was used. As practical task invitations and shopping lists were made. During party students had to introduce themselves, sing a song with partners in German, listened to the greeting of partner school’s headmaster and responded to it. For introducing themselves students made so called Friendship Book, which was sent to partners. To communicate students had to use phrases, which they had learnt in German classes. The best feedback was students’ feeling of success – year 4 students could actually communicate in a foreign language, which they have learnt for two years. Results of the project can be seen in our blog. |
